A view of the Chesapeake Bay to the east is provided from all bedrooms on the second floor and all from all gathering spaces on the first floor, including a screened porch. A partially covered roof deck with a hot tub, just off the master bedroom on the second floor opens to the south. The house is raised up on piers a full story to protect it from flooding. Elevator access, storage, and parking are provided underneath.

A standing seam metal roof, inflected toward the Bay, gives the house its distinctive character. The roof wraps down the front and back of the house, visually reducing its perceived height. Solar panels power all electrical needs of the house.
