Bethesda, MD
Rustic pavilion with Living, Kitchen and Bathing functions is intended to seem as if it grew out of stone ruins. Elaborate measures were taken to preserve existing mature trees as close as 2 feet from the new structure. Heavy stone walls are set atop a 16” thick concrete slab poured on undisturbed grade, which is cantilevered off of 10 helical piers inset four feet from the perimeter of the structure.
