Illusionistic devices are employed in the renovation of the Sales Area to counteract the smallness of the space. A floating ceiling and full-height mirrors in the corners of the room create the impression of walls of indeterminate height and length. Eyeglass display cabinets are consistently designed with glass outside corners and solid internal structure to contribute to the general openness of the Sales Area and for maximum exposure of merchandise. Extensive use of maple, aluminum, sisal carpeting, bold accent colors and incandescent lighting add texture, warmth and drama to the clean modern image that Voorthuis Opticians has always cultivated.
